Gerry Cullen, Co-Owner/Editor/Camera, a native of Long Island, New York, has worked in the television field in New York, the Midwest, and in England. He is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology.  The school that pioneered the combination of computers and television.

His diversity of production credits include entertainment, music, drama, news, public affairs, and documentaries. Video that he has shot has appeared on the CBS Evening News, PM Magazine, Home Box Office, and a number of programs that have appeared on public TV: “The Lawmakers”, “Market to Market”, and “The MacNiel Lehrer News Hour”.

In the area of dramatic presentations, he has produced and directed for KTWU a series of original short stories. All were shot on location using video/film style techniques. They were taped in a realistic  dramatic form utilizing professional actors, technicians, musicians, and composers for original sound scoring. Two of these dramas have been produced with funding from the Kansas Art Commission.

In the area of news/ public affairs he has had the responsiblity as producer/director to create and produce a weekly political series in magazine format on topics relating to the Kansas Legislature. The series has been broadcast on all Kansas public television stations: KTWU (Topeka), KPTS(Wichita), KOOD(Hays), KCPT(Kansas City, MO), and commercial station KLBY(Colby, KS). Another notable responsibility in television production was performed as director for the first video feed of television cameras in the Kansas courts.

As producer/director, Gerry Cullen produced a series of shows featuring many of the greatest names in the blue genre: greats such as Muddy Waters. John Lee Hooker, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. A number of these shows were recorded as far back as 1981 in multi-channel stereo.

Presently, Mr. Cullen is in charge of production at The VideoWorks in Kansas City. He has been staff Director/Cameraman at Northwest Teleproductions, Kansas City. He has been Senior Producer/Director at KTWU-TV in Topeka, KS; ENG Director for the news magazine “Women: New York Edition” at WNYC-TV in New York. Gerry has also acted weekly in an English television series for Harlech Television, and has taught at the university level, courses in television directing.
