Dick Espy, Co-Owner/Producer, a native of Kansas, has worked in the video production field in both the Kansas City and Northern California areas.

His diversity of production credits include business and computer technology programs, healthcare industry medical training programs, marketing programs, industry specific technical programs such as how to handle hazardous waste materials, and numerous other educational training programs. His diversity of production skills range from computer graphics to medical photography. As a medical photographer for a leading Kansas City area hospital, he was able to distinguish himself with his table top lighting techniques which resulted in medical product shot assignments.

As the official photographer for Friskies PetCare Products, Mr. Espy took over five thousand photographs which were submitted to the Federal Drug Administration as part of an eighteen month clinical trial on animal nutritional products.

Due to his extensive background of anatomy and physiology, producing video programs for the healthcare industry became a natural transition. Due to the detailed nature and he intricacy of the subject matter (his area of expertise was in the field of cardiology), he became notably skilled and effective in communicating highly technical and detail oriented information. His ability to communicate with physicians and other professionals has further increased his value as a producer.

In the area of computer graphics, Dick Espy has grown with the fast moving pace of the computer industry. Using all types of broadcast quality character generators for video titling has given him a valuable knowledge base of computer graphics programs and also state-of-the-art hardware systems. He is using popular computer graphics programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Fractal Design Painter, Corel Draw, Corel Photopaint, Aldus Photostyler, Micrografx Picture Publisher, Microsoft Power Point, Caligari TrueSpace, AutoDesk 3-D Studio, AT&T Rio, Time Arts Lumena and Image North’s Inscriber VMP.

Presently, Mr. Espy is in charge of all computer graphics used in the post production facility at The VideoWorks in addition to his key role in production and operations.
